Strided six seriously splendid, slightly short sets sans significant speed.  Satisfied.  Satiated.

Time to go get cut.

No time to be creative, good luck with the surgery. Hope you're up and running soon.

What did I miss? Why are you having surgery?

From Rhett on Wed, Oct 28, 2009 at 19:34:57 from 74.42.168.210

Dale, so you don't have to wait until Fly gets back on... it is a growth removal from his skin. If I remember correctly it was diagnosed as a carcinoma, but my memory bites... I may be wrong about that.

From DonGardinero on Wed, Oct 28, 2009 at 19:44:46 from 152.216.7.5

Oh yeah, how quickly I forget. Thanks, Rhett.

Here is more than anyone would ever want to know:

Wednesday afternoon I had a basal cell carcinoma removed from my shoulder. This kind of cancer does not spread to other organs. I've read it is 90 to 99% curable and mine was small and shallow. The doc numbed the area then used some sort of scraper to remove skin. Very little pain but the sound was unpleasant. Then the doc cauterized it. The skin burning machine had a vacuum but I still got a few wafts of burning flesh.

I also had a non-cancerous mole like thing removed from my scalp. This was deeper. I had a 7mm (diameter) plug removed, then 4 sutures. When I got home and the numbness wore off it really started to hurt for some unknown reason. I took 800 mg of Ibuprofen and even started to consider taking one of my dog’s pain pills but opted for a cold beer instead. That curbed the pain and I've felt it very little since.

There you have it. I go back in 3 months for a checkup.

Fly, so are you taking the day off today? I hope the pain subsides soon. Which hurts worse, your head or your shoulder?

From DonGardinero on Thu, Oct 29, 2009 at 12:55:42 from 75.162.164.228

Thanks for the update. That's a real bummer about the pain, hope it feels better today.

From fly on the Wall on Thu, Oct 29, 2009 at 13:03:56 from 168.179.215.132

I never felt my shoulder because my head hurt. But that pain went away last night after diner and has not returned. I'm planning on some sort of run but how hard or far is open.

From Kathie on Thu, Oct 29, 2009 at 13:10:16 from 63.248.105.188

Glad the everything went well, I hope your run goes off without a hitch today too.

From Teena on Fri, Oct 30, 2009 at 23:51:38 from 67.177.20.13

Man oh man!!!

Glad your pain has subsided.

You must be dang tough (but we already knew that)!
