Wednesday was my work's annual lunchtime 5k. Turnout was pretty good with 50 or 60 runners and walkers. This year we even had bib numbers.

I just ran Ogden 4 days ago, my legs still felt like hamburger, and I did not want to hurt myself. So I ran it at what would normally be an easy pace. This was good enough for 1st Masters, 2nd Male, and 3rd Overall, which is of course completely meaningless as this was my work's lunchtime 5k.

Sometimes the work 5K is the most competitive, You have to see these people everyday so you need to save face right!

Did it have the usual turns around the barrels? Did the "fast guy" you run with win? Good for you for getting out there..not too bad a time either.

We all pretty much knew how we would place before the start.... The fast guy did win. He paced the second place runner for >2 miles then put a 2 or 3 minute gap on her in the last mile.

Smooth, I'm resting, recovering, having fun, getting mentally ready for my race on Saturday, and getting mentally ready to start training for St. George. I just updated my blog, though I didn't have much to add.
