It is a regular winter wonderland around here, which would be better if tomorrow were the first day of March, not May.

In order to keep my shoes dry for a while, I decided to run up City Creek Canyon on the road to start with.  I made it to the Grotto (almost the end of the road) before it got deeper than I wanted to post hole.  At that point the powder was at about the bottom of my shins.  Ran back down the canyon road then took BST to the lower tower, then home.  The trail wasn't too snowy, but I'd have preferred more snow.  In places the mud was kind of awful.  One stretch climbing out of the canyon was like trying to run up softened butter- a bit gooey, a bit squishy, and two bits slick.

Garmin said 10:59 pace, but who cares.

Sounds like a fun run. Glad you didn't go down in the mud, it sounds like it was pretty slick. I wish we had some snow here once in a while. We've got plenty of mud!

Fly, I'm constantly amazed at the conditions which you run in... and I'm not just talking about the weather.
