1/2 mary on the JRP. 8:39 pace @  82°-90°.

I felt like I had a hangover this morning.  Not a drop to drink last night but dinner (yuck) and an evening at Lagoon (an amusement park).   A slight headache and a sour stomach had me dreading this run.  I drank a bunch of water and a guava nectar, took ibuprofen ( I very rarely take any kind of pain meds), took a quick "nap" on the floor of my office, and delayed the start of my run till just after noon.  To my surprise my run went just fine.  I started slow and naturally picked it up a bit as I went.  Now I just need another nap (I wish I had the time) and I might almost feel back to normal.

Not sure if you got my email so I will post it here also:

Friday is 7 miles w/6X100 strides and Saturday is 15 miles with 12 at marathon pace. Here is a link to the plan I reference online: http://runningtimes.com/Article.aspx?ArticleID=4432&PageNum=5

That run sounds too hot. I took the kids to Lagoon last week, and decided I won't need to buy an all day ride pass anymore. I felt lousy-sick all night afterward.

Did you get another nap??? :)

From fly on the Wall on Fri, Aug 06, 2010 at 18:44:34 from 166.70.192.189

No nap, but I survived. Thanks Andy, I got your email. Thanks everyone else for the encouragement. Kam, I think it was the food that did me in, but it could have also been the rides. Some of those coasters are so 'hurky jurky!'
