Just my work's lunchtime 5k.  Our work shirts and such have a "DNR" logo, which sometimes worries me, but it doesn't stand for "do not resuscitate," rather Department of Natural Resources.  Regardless DNR is a nice name for a race.

The fast guy got a new job so wasn't there to break the tape.  It was hot- ~85°.  I paced with my lunchtime running buddy for the first 2.5ish miles then he fell off pace so I picked up the effort.  I did not push hard enough to feel really bad, but hard enough to be glad to finish.  Eventually a newer and younger employee is going to show up and kick the butts of us old and slow guys but til then I'll bask in my glory (yeah right) ;)

6+ ez miles after the race.

Congrats at being the fastest guy at your work. That gives you some bragging rights I'm sure.

I'm guessing that the fast guy thinks you are the fast guy!! :)

Anyway ... do you work Friday (the 24th)? Ry and I are thinking we will run Steeplechase again. This time with more fluids! WARNING: It may be extremely slow as it will be my first run since Ogden. :)

Thanks Rhett.

Teena, The fast guy was not delusional. (His 5k PR is 14:24 (indoor) and the 5k was not his specialty.)

That's a heck of a recovery run! I work Friday but may run it Saturday morning. How about then or a week from Friday?
